Will you have linux support? Do you have any beta?
We are wrapping up work on Mac support and then will tackle Linux support after that. Are you interested in taking part in the Linux beta, MacgyverFreitas?
this is great i am getting a mac soon
I just got an error, it's looking for 380.Kiss.xnb and the file I have is 380.kiss.xnb (no uppercase K)
Oops. Patch issued. Please try again!

Congratulations, you must be the first person to play through the Mac version of the game!
Actually it's the linux version, forgot to mention it. Thanks for porting it :)

I just got a tiny 64 bytes patch, but still the same error, the 380.kiss.* file name is still lowercase, same for 381.kissfail.* by the way.
Maybe you only fixed the mac version ?
Hmm, we see that the rename didn't take. The Steam updater must not consider them different names, even on Linux.

Simplest way we've found to force the update is to delete the 4 files and then select "Verify Integrity" to redownload them. Failing that, you could just rename the 4 files manually.

The new names should be:

380.Kiss.ogv
380.Kiss.xnb
381.KissFail.ogv
381.KissFail.xnb

The Linux version isn't officially out yet but, uh, thanks for beta testing it!
Hmm, we did some further testing and are running into issues. Please let us know if you are seeing the same or different behavior from before after applying this fix.

We're seeing a Content Load Exception but no mention specifically of being unable to find 380.Kiss.xnb.
Yes, I re-downloaded everything, the case for the file names is now ok, but I now get the same error as you instead.
Okay, we're still investigating where in the game the old value exists but we do have a workaround. You can simply delete the two XNB files and the game will instead use default values for some properties for those two videos. Only death scenes and button mash events use the properties in the XNB files so those two videos still work correctly without them.
We've issued a new patch that seems to resolve the issue on our Linux machine. Please let us know if it fixes the problem for you, bugsbony!
Thanks, that works now. :steamhappy:

I tried to test a bit everything, and I found 1 other error :
When choosing high score settings;
"Could not load asset Textures/roundcorners! Error: The content file was not found."
The file I have is roundCorners.xnb

I also got an error in the prototype chapter 3/5 after running, "Cannot access a disposed object". I think I got it twice in a row, but after many more tries, I can't reproduce it, so I guess you can forget about it.
Thanks, bugsbony! Fixes for both issues are live now.
bugsbony, have you seen any screen tearing while playing on Linux? We're getting it on one of our Linux test machines when playing in fullscreen and are wondering how widespread the issue might be.
I don't really pay attention to tearing, but I don't think I see any. (nvidia gtx950 with proprietary drivers, ubuntu 17.04 with MATE)
