After doing the demo, I found that I was able to get out of the bathroom without having to use it sooo, maybe its there just to confuse you?

yeah this game is tricky lol. I have no idea how some people are able to 'finish' it within 3 hours or less. I mena, ive solved quite a bit, and ahve things that I know what I need to do, but Im stuck figuring it our, or Im missing something to finish it. As for the bathroom, I can confirm that you do NOT need to use that fancy blue light coded thingy. Just have to look around for something else to trigger things. After that, you will need to come back eventually to the bathroom to finish things

i have the criptex for the bathroom puzzle but no idea where to plug it in so i can manipulate it

Hey!

You don't need to plug it in, the criptex is just for you to look at it.

Try figuring out what those coordinates on the criptex are for...

At the risk of sounding stupid, I'd really like to know how to complete this puzzle. I've tried everything and I guess it's just not clicking for me. I know that I have to match the symbols on the criptex with the grid under the sink in the bathroom, but the different types of symbols (X, square, etc.) are what's confusing me. I'm not sure which symbols to use with each coordinate... any kind of help would be much appreciated, and again, sorry if I sound incredibly stupid right now.

so i may be missing something but i havent found the criptex yet im out of the bathroom and in that next room and I dont see a typewriter anywhere everything is really dark in the second part of the room, i turned up the brightness on both the game and my monitor I must be missing something lol also pretty tired so prob just not looking hard enough ill jump on tomorrow but is that room suppose to be so dark? the light switches dont work yet at least, i can see the room with the valves and that hallway but that room past the valves around the corner is extra dark

The room is supposed to be dark. You will be using those batteries in your inventory in this section. Just look around for a spot that batteries might go!
