Do I have to have watched the anime?

I love the Dynasty warriors series, and am pretty much sold on the idea of playing a cel-shaded version of that. but I have never heard of Arslan before. Do I need to watch it to get the most out of the game? also is it any good?

Don't know about your first question and i never heard that there will be a ARSLAN game until steam told me it's new, but the anime was quite good in my opinion.

There was a gameplay video linked in another thread, basically replaying the first episode of the anime.

Therefore I GUESS(!) that the game simply is the same as the anime.

From what it says on Koei and PS store site, the game empasses all 25 episodes.

So far it is following the anime. I watched the series first. Very good series but I don't think you need to.

While the game does adapt the anime storyline, I would still be cautious since it will probably leave out some details. Pirate Warriors 3 suffered heavily from this, added to that the fact that the series itself is quite long, resulting in many things being omitted. It ended up more like watching a highlight reel.

It has a few minor changes from the anime, but you do not need to watch it.

Tho the worst part is it ends around what the anime does. Which is not a complete story. So either there is going to be DLC to finish off the story in this game. Or the game is never going to have a proper ending which would be unfortunate.
