I mean, was there really a point to make this ultra rare? this isn't some korean MMO...
I still whole-heartedly disagree with this kind of method, it's the opposite of fun.
I agree with you, the game has some very odd choices made in favor of grinding. Considering there is no basis for rarity in the game, and no relic is particularly presented to be any more rare than the others, it makes no sense for certain relics or lore to be rarer than others. There are no values to distinguish between, no unique scenarios for rarer ones, so it comes off pointless to have certain things harder to obtain than others.
That, combined with some of the higher priced items in the Black Market, which regardless of your game progress require a fair amount of grinding just to obtain, is a bit odd too. I understand that they're supposed to be harder to obtain in the shop, and therefore are more expensive as a result, but considering the only way to get tokens for the shop is to beat levels or get lucky and find them in chests rarely, it becomes a chore.
Overall this game is a lot of fun, but grinding choices like these definitely take away from that.
