doing anything to resolve this would make playing this game a lot more satisfying, its been more than a month without any stated plans to make this change, in fact it seemed like there was butting of heads over this being a design choice rather than providing the option of this change.
I unfortunately had to refund until something is done about this as I don't desire to support games that not only include console compromises in their PC release but also choose to justify them due to gameplay-this-or-that, overshadowing the reality that words from people playing their game are ASKING for this change.
In providing options to players, you give us the ability to finetune the experience into something they truly appreciate rather than leaving us feeling pigeonholed into learning how to cope with the set-in-stone mechanics the gamedev thought was the "right" way to play.
I hope, seeing the amount of complain about the cursor, Tribute game will take care of the issue.
The best choice you can give to the player is leting them change the controlls on the gamepad. If they don't fix the cursor but let the player change that controlls, I may play with a controller.
I agree with all you said (exept for the refund part, cause I really like this game, hell cursor or not ^^).
Fingercrossed for the next update!
I'm no gamedev but when it comes to something like controls which most PC players have their own setups of since years back I really think letting the players choose is better. I just dont see any benefit to locking those options away.
