Getting past Adam (HR)?

I've been trying for so long now to get past Adam in HR so I can get a key to Rex Crane III's office, but he just keeps choking me out. Any ideas?

How to do that can be found here on the forum. Try searching for 'Adam'. I believe even the most recent thread (after this one) should help you.

I looked at the text box that says to lock him away, but I'm pretty sure I already tried that once. Here's the thing: He'll get through that door even if I lock it.

Okay here's the plan:

1. Turn on the lights.
2. Get keycard, and screwdriver
3. Open his door but DO NOT ENTER YET
4. Set your teleport in the vent right above you
5. Take a step forward in the real world, entering Adam's room. he will see you and run torward you. When he does this...
6. Warp up into the vent. Wait until the lights go out.
7. Warp back down into the room and close/lock the door.
8. Use a screwdriver to unlock key
9. There is a vent in this room, climb in it and crawl through until you're near the entrance (turn on lights). Hop down, run to next vent, hop up. Sing a victory song.

Yes, but I bet you didn't read the other threads...

You need to set the door to closed and locked, then disable it = set it to ERR!

Okay, but where is the lvl. 2 keycard?

Uh... okay so there's a bathroom area near the weird line of identical portraits I think? Its through the vents in said bathroom.

Or you could just find a lets play... or use your map that is in your inventory.

In one of the maintenance rooms.

Its hard to get past but when you do, you'll be blown away by the really cool ending (assuming you can figure out how to get to the train, haha.)
