Controller problems.
I have no clue what's going on here. Every button works, except for the right stick. And i've tried playing this with both an Xbox One pad, and a PS4 pad. And i still can't use the right stick to shoot. What is causing this?

What kind of item are you trying to use and at what point in the game?

Are you using the Steam Input support for the controllers? I had this issue with my Dualshock 4 and it turned out the problem was that the right stick was mapped to the touchpad. I just unmapped the right stick from the touchpad and that worked. Or, just choose the default gamepad profile for either controller before playing.

The paint gun, at the beginning of the game.

Fixed it. It seem like standard config for the game on the Steam input support, was bugged.
I changed it the config, to "Gamepad" and it fixed the issue.

Thanks for the suggestion Moskeeto, it really helped.

Wait, the default configuration that Steam uses is the Steam Controller configuration? That would explain the issue. I'll make sure that's changed.

Yes. You need to make default configs for each controller in the Steam Input settings or otherwise any controller will default to the Steam Controller config.

Fixed! Thanks for the heads up.

I know this is super old, but this discussion came up for me when I was searching and was the only result that helped.

I have both official DS4 controllers and some 3rd party ones that work perfectly with Steam, but Wuppo didn't even recognise I had controllers.

Sometimes the DS4 controllers only work if enabled in Steam, sometimes they have to be disabled, but nothing worked when I changed the settings.

I saw this post and looked at the controller configs and I changed it from default to "default controller" and it worked!

I'm guessing most don't have this issue, as I didn't see others talking about it online, but just thought I'd mention it in case any others from the future stumble in here.
