Long-term progress / goal of game?
Looking at this wonderful game to play together with friends. But I don't quite understand the long-term goal of the game. Is there any progress, that persists through all missions? Are there any goals to achieve playing from one mission to another?

I like sandbox games, but not without some quests / goals / targets. It's a bad example, but Conan Exiles looks to me ideal from this point of view. It's an open world, it's a sandbox world, but there is an ultimate goal to do - remove your bracelet (for this you need to kill several bosse and to do that you need to be stronger etc).

What is the progression line here? Any persistent researches to open new equipment? Or anything else?

This game has an achievement-based progression. You start playing on smaller ships and, while you play, you unlock new technologies to be used on matches and get access to larger and more challenging ships, but every match is on a tottally new ship.

The challenge and the tools you have unlock through progression, but there is no campaign of any sorts.

You also eventually unlock weekly challenges, that are large levels with unique rules to make the game more challenging to veteran players.

I see, thanks.
It would be great to see something like a set of goals to achieve in game. I don't like to play games just to play them. It's great to reach some goal, then - another one for some potential reward etc.

I mean, every match has a very clear goal: clean the ship and power every room. Not sure if that was clear for you. But the winning condition never changes, only the obstacles and the tool you have do.

In terms of objectives, it is a lot closer to a risk of rain than it is to The Sims.

The game do correctly his purpose. And for progression who is to unlock stuff than you can't buy at the beginning of the "campaign" by doing special challenge like sleeping on the floor etc etc etc ...

For the rest, find friends to play together. It's more fun to play a coop based game with people. The dev take a big risk by doing a coop game. But they managed to make it enjoyable for single player. Thanks them for that.
