Atari Vault
This would be so worth it if it had Joust
How could you have an Atari Vault without Joust it was by far one of there best games? Plz add it to steam in like a DLC of other Atari games to add to the Vault like Sega does with their games.

Joust was an arcade game by Williams Electronics, that was later ported to the Atari 2600, never owned by Atari inc. in any way.

I dunno what the status of Atari 2600 licensing is, but there are a ton of games for the system (and also some arcade games, like Star Wars) that were published by Atari and not included here like Joust and Pole Position. There are some great games in this compilation, but Atari really needs to get someone to sit down with their lawyers and work on an archive of games from the 2600/5200/7800/8-Bit computer and arcade era that is actually curated. For every true classic in a compilation like this there are 5-10 games that no one really cares about anymore.

Not to mention that there's a Williams collection for the 360 and PS3 that's fairly good, if maybe a bit lacking in the number of game on it. But it has Joust and Joust 2 on it. It's just a shame that there's no PC version of it.

Support the classics and maybe others will follow!

Thing is, there is a really good Williams collection for PC, which I own, but it was made for Windows XP and it doesn't work with Vista and later. It kinda makes me want to dig out my XP machine from the attic!

If it worked with XP, I'm surprise it didn't work in Win7. Vista, I can understand. One of my favorite series was Star Control from Accolade. I had 1, 2, and 3 all working in Win95 and 98, but it never worked in WinXp. That's a series that I wish would appear on Steam and with online capability. I would also love to see the Williams Collection on Steam.

Yeah, I think that thr Williams Collection on PC was strictly XP only, no 98, ME or Vista support. Running it in Win 7 would just post an error message.

+1. First title I looked in list for was Joust.
