Controller Not Working

A few years ago I use to play Atari Vault just fine with my XBox 360 controller. Tonight I installed Atari Vault with the DLC, but the games don't work with either my Logitech F710 or XBox 360 Controller.

What's bizarre is that the controller works fine in the in game menus, but once the game starts, the game won't respond to the controls.

I've checked the button mappings and they look correct. I've also tried to change their assignment, however once I select one of the button mappings to change it doesn't accept any button press from the joystick to set a key. Even though I can navigate around the menus and even select a button to change with the joystick, once it's in button selection mode it doesn't accept any button press from the joystick.

I've never seen anything like this. What is going on?

Even worse here with PS4 Controller. It does not work even in the menus.

My Logitech controller doesn't work at all on Steam. Not sure why...

Steam gamepad and Xbox gamepad work on most games, while others, especially arcade racing, not at all. Some gamepads do not work at all. For the arcade games that do not work with gamepads, you are actually better off playing on the keyboard anyways, given the awkwardness of the different and inadequate control changes from arcade to a PC port.
