Old Atari CD-ROM games compatible with Windows 10!
My old Atari games on PC CD-ROM for Windows Me and XP stopped working since about Windows 8. To my pleasant surprise, last night I discovered that ATARI ANNIVERSARY EDITION works almost flawlessly, with only the splash screen not working if launching from an installed copy; and Atari 80 Classic Games in One works fine, except that you have to use the task manager to exit games. Midway Arcade Treasures works less well, with certain keys breaking the game and forcing you to reboot, and some games running in windows with a large bezel that obstructs the game.

Unfortunately, I now notice that these versions also do not allow for proper 3:4 aspect ratio. Still, it's nice to be able to use the old CD-ROMs.

For classic Tempest, the version on Atari Vault is superior to the version on the old CD-ROMs. On Atari Vault, the game is taller and wider, the vector graphics are more vivid, and the controls feel more precise. Classic Tempest on the CD-ROMs does not have two minor bugs that are on Atari Vault. On the CD-ROM versions, Skill-Step is correctly advanced by spinning the spinner clockwise, and at least so far there is no glitch during SuperZapper Recharges.

Tempest Tubes is included in the CD-ROMs. It would really be nice to have Tempest Tubes on Atari Vault.

I just figured out how to enable cheats on another emulator. This enables Tempest to finally be able to be played in proper 3:4 aspect ratio, with no bugs, with the ability to skip to green, plus the ability to have other cheats, as well.
