Also XBOXCE doesn't seem to work either.
Before the DLC was added it worked fine...
Any suggestions?
For example the Sonic racing games required xinput controllers but thanks to big picture generic controllers will work.
I've been playing this bundle that way but after buying the dlc, only the original games would read the controller. I am trying to make profiles for the games, but it's tedious to say the least.
Still a few hours of work is worth the future enjoyment.
There is a control mapping for all these games. You should be able to find it as the recommended control set for the game. It's possible you didn't import it automatically because you had the old, pre-DLC configuration imported...?
I've just been trying to figure out what happened as after I purchased the DLC, it was quite a shock to have issues pop up.
Thanks for being so helpful and kind to us users. Many Devs/Publishers make forums and don't post squat. I really am happy to pick up DLC ASAP from people like you.
Edit: My controller is an XInput controller and worked previously.
I'm having the same issues. No response. The UI recognizes the controller fine. Keys are mapped to the defaults they've always been mapped to. I can press Start to start games sometimes, but no D Pad, joystick, or button response. Verifying the integrity of the cache didn't fix anything (didn't imagine it would though). If I try to change the mapping in settings, I can use the controller to navigate the UI including selecting which mapping to change, but as soon as it's ready for me to press a button to change it, it doesn't recognize I am pressing a button on my controller. I don't use Big Picture mode or anything like that, just the default Steam UI.
I do not use the Steam controller.
Like yours, it worked in the past but now it doesn't. It works fine for everything else.
