a real gmod 2

If hlx/projectwhitesands is flatscreen and valve releases a source 2 sdk to the public maybe hopefully someone will make a sandbox mod for it and that game can be a real gmod 2 not a roblox clone

HL:A isn't multiplayer and GMod 2 wouldn't just be about sandbox, but also to provide a Lua/Python library for custom gamemodes in VR.

For Christ's sake, I'll try to explain the difference in a different way. On one hand, Garry's Mod is technically a game as it was originally a sandbox game. Sandbox was the basic gamemode and people started modifying it to create new gamemodes. By doing this, it extended Garry's Mod preexisting features. That's how you supposedly create a game or rather gamemode in Garry's Mod. You may also just make mods and Lua scripts to add into the Sandbox gamemode. On the other hand, S&Box is NOT a game. It's a platform with NO basic gamemode, which aims to democratize the Source 2 engine to make it as popular as other game engines like Unity and Unreal Engine as Valve's engines are based on modding instead of making things from scratch with C# (not Lua) and the latter is how you make games in S&Box. Because S&Box has no base gamemode, you have to create games from scratch. If you had the playtest, you would see that the Sandbox game is not even made by Facepunch and it is barely as complete as the one in Garry's Mod. In addition, games made on S&Box will be able to get sold on Steam as this is something Garry Newman has said himself.

The Garry's Mod 2 I want to create is one that is based off HL:A to give it a sense of identity and to stay true to Valve's way of making games, which is by modding and not from scratch. Also, it would be VR-only. For your information, S&Box is NOT VR-only.

Alcina keeps pushing the narrative that S&Box is Garry's Mod 2 despite everyone else in the thread pointing out that it is not the case. In fact, if you go on S&Box's website, it states that while it is a spiritual successor to Garry's Mod, it is NOT Garry's Mod 2. Alcina just doesn't seem to understand the difference between the two and I'm starting to think that they are a troll because no one is that unaware of other people's arguments.

My previous comment did not said anything about S&Box being Gmod 2.
It's said "S&Box has everything you want".
Yet, you're so obsessed with me saying S&Box is the next Gmod 2.
While what I said is, what you want from Gmod 2, is inside S&Box.

You just want another Downgraded and limited game.
Tied to a game and it's limits and people will build mods right on top of that.
While S&Box offers you a modding world with infinite limits.

Just like the title said "The limit is your imagination" which that will actually apply to S&Box. Unlike Garry's Mod.

Also, it doesn't matter if I accept S&Box as Gmod 2 or not, it still has everything you want from Gmod 2.
