Garry's Mod Models To Half Life 2?
Is it possible to move the models from GMod addons, such as a Darth Vader model, and replace a NPC model like alyx with it in HL2?

Thank you, but I'm afraid that way didnt work for me. I had to extract the .gma file using gmad then I had to go into the model file and change the first six items to have alyx as instead of the mod name. I am running into a problem though where the animations are not working for the new model unfortunately.

Yeah, no. This is entirely misinformation. Source games don't load simple addons from the sourcemods folder, that's just where larger mods that need to use the SDK (and usually mount content from other games) get intalled. Instead, for small addons like model swaps, you'd set up a custom folder.

Extracting the GMA and getting the model to load is a start, but you'll need to figure out how to recompile the model on Alyx's animations, which are different from the player/citizen animations that your model was probably originally intended for. Not sure how you'd go about that, unfortunately.
