Here are some of my favourite maps:
-rp_downtown
Just a good rp map in general.

-supersizeroom
Really unique map, pretty much sandbox only.

-gm_rhine
Pretty cool WW2 sandbox map.

-fork/spoon
Most detailed and polished Gmod map I've played.

-gm_goldencity_day and night
Really big and simple sandbox map.

-gm_construct in flatgrass
Speaks for it self.

-gm_bigcity
Another cool and simple sandbox map.
-gm_novenka

Detailed map made specifically for sandbox.

-gm_excess island night
Unique sandbox map with a twist.

-rp_retribution
Really cool and revolutionary RP map, unpopular by servers tho.

-hometown 1999
This map just radiates nostalgia for the late 90s.

-gm_rural
A pretty unpopular map, very simple sandbox.

-sb_new_worlds_2
One of the more unique and creative sandbox maps.

-gm_genesis
Pure sandbox map, its packed with content.

-gm_Flattywood
Another pure sandbox map, its more simple tho and has some interesting roads.

Story: I remember roleplaying with a mate on hometown_1999, it was one of the more special moments in gmod for me, the map is pretty small but its filled with so much love and attention to detail, there is even a game store complete with games from that era on the shelves including Half-Life!

well about 30 because i made maps dedicated to how sertain tools work like func door and teliportation. just random junk

it's got special waves with a special enemy type, you have a supression device that you can take over and protect. you got boss waves, dropships carrying soldiers, and APCs. great endless wave survival map imo.
