TTT VS TTT2

Just came back after a break
What's the deal with TTT2?
Did the old TTT became TTT2?
I can't find the old one anywhere on the workshop

This is an old discussion, but for the sake of anyone who's searching the forums:

My understanding is that the 'old' TTT is a built-in gamemode. It's very old by this point, and so a group of people decided to make a much better version of it.

The old TTT still exists, and seems to still hold it's popularity with general gmod players. No main addon needed, as far as I can tell.

TTT2 does support most equipment/weapon addons made for the old TTT.
