Is the interloper the observer?

I have tried to make my own take on gmod lore and all however something always boggled my mind with gmod lore "is the umbrella man the observer?" if you dont know what the observer is. its basically the communitys name for that black shadow man that watches you during singleplayer. hence the name "the observer" you may havent known it because its not said or heard often. but when i decided to boggle my own take with gmod lore i was originally gonna make the umbrella man the observers. person that assist him . basically what the umbrella man was doing is distracting gmod users to going onto other source games so the observer could do his evil plan or whatnot. however i do like being in thign with everyone else so i thought on the back of my mind if i should make the umbrella man the observer himself. i mean they are fully black and use the gman model. just tell me your opinon on it and i might make my decision soon or not...

There are no "shadow people" watching over you in singleplayer. You downloaded a mod that added that to the game. All of the things you are describing are mod-related

This should probably be in the SFM Forums, Interloper was animated in SFM, Interloper has pretty much nothing to do with Gmod.

Okay. I don't know what the "Interloper ARG" is but it isn't "Gmod lore", as the game is just a source engine sandbox game with zero story or lore.

i am fully aware of gmod not having lore im just saying in my own personal prefrence i like to think of gmod having lore i didint think it wasnt that clear but im fully aware of it not having lore i just wanted someones opinon on my decision not an arguement

The poster is probably talking about a Source game ARG called "Interloper", Just some context.
