Game is absolutely broken.

To note: I am new to gmod, and i probbably made mistakes.
Also im using the x86-64 Branch.

My game is entirely broken. For gm_construct, The entire sky is black, and i spawn facing the wrong way. And for gm_flatgrass, i spawn way in the sky, and the sky is black too. For both maps i have no tools, cant spawn anything, nothing works. How do i fix this?

You have to go to the ''beta participation'' and turn it to none. you can do this via pressing the right mouse button on the gmod tab in your library. and going to properties. then pressing the ''betas'' section

Same it looks like the models are missing i honsetly have no idea what's happening

this has been happening to me too for 2 days now, the game slowly just kept falling apart before my very eyes, first a few of my addons conked out, i decided to do a full reinstall, all my mods died, so i did full factory reset and reinstall, vanilla gmod, nothing else, and its litteraly the same thing, i spawn into gm_construct, vanilla gmod, i have no weapons, black sky, random script errors, something must have seriously broken down because i litteraly installed fresh files from steam with NO mods whatsoever

Yup, update just recently happened earlier today where none of our addons would work with the game now. Although maybe it's just the 64-bit version of GMod and the regular version still works?

Yes. i found a way to fix it. turn the ''beta participation'' setting in the properties tab to none

heres a temporary fix, copy Steam\SteamApps\common\GarrysMod\garrysmod\lua from your base gmod, and copy that into your x64 gmod, then it gets fixed

The same thing is happening to me, I thought it was just some mods that were buggy, but when I removed it and went to enter the game, the sky was still black and I couldn't use any weapons.
