DrgBase has a lot of good NPCs in it's own right, and even has NPCs capable of things that VJ NPCs aren't, but more of them tend to be buggy compared to those made with VJ and a good chunk of them (even some of the more advanced ones) are nextbots of some kind, meaning there's far less maps you can use them on without using nav_generate, which can be time consuming depending on the map's file size and the system you're running.
Overall, while DrgBase is solid, I'd say VJ is slightly better.
It's more of an extended version of a Nextbot with more support. Most NPCs made with DRGbase are generally high quality and smart. The only thing it requires is a Navmesh, which can be done easily.
Compared to DRGbase or even the base Nextbot AI, it is more capable of doing things, which comes with a lot of bugs. It is buggy and sometimes doesn't even work well. It lags the game more than any other AI base and is often used by people who copy and paste the same Human AI to other player models.
It also requires a navmesh or AI nodes (which is a plus). Let's hope the new upcoming update will fix the existing issues and bugs.
Not gonna lie, it has really good potential. If only the creator didn't abandon it. Because some of the NPCs made with this base have high quality, and the AI base itself is pretty capable of doing a lot of things.
