Do you have that one mod that makes blood decals stay when you shine a light on it? (E.g. Flashlight of Lamp)? That messed with my blood decals but I uninstalled it and it fixed.

By messed I mean replaced a blood decal mod with HL2 Decals. Plus some of the decals were missing textures.

yes that is what i meant, how to fix this?

If you own that mod I mentioned, just uninstall it. If you don't, you could check any mods that have anything related to blood or if there is a mod conflicting your replacer, that could be it. If nothing I mentioned worked, then I have no idea.

i mean like just all blood replacements are being replaced with half life 2 or left for dead blood

Have you tried reinstalling them? Oh who am I kidding, of course you did. did you disable a replacement? It can still conflict with a mod. Uninstalling someone gets rid of the Bytes it has, or storage. (E.g. you can have one replacement on but any other replacements need to be uninstalled, disabling them can still cause conflicts.) Here's how it works, disabling something keeps the storage of that mod kept in the Gmod folder, but depending on the mod it will disable it but keep all memory. Replacements replace blood decals with their own. Meaning disabling does nothing if it is a replacement mod because it still keeps the code for the replacement. While uninstalling deletes all memory of that code from that mod in the Gmod folder and in the game engine. Basically disabling a replacement will still keep the decal the same, or will make it a different texture, like LFD and HL2 texture, or no texture at all. Having two replacements at one time will conflict the system leading to LFD, HL2, NTxt, or the system will pick one of the replacements. Long story short, uninstall any other replacements but the one you want, and if it is still happening, then check the folder of the replacement and see if a replacement is even present. Or go to the folder with all the blood decals and see if the replacement is working. If not, then you will need to find another replacement. I sure hope all this typing leads to some answer. :steamhappy:

Now we are getting somewhere, as if you had no blood mod folder, that means the mod isn't working and you'll need to find another mod. Did you make sure to look in the decal folder? With all the normal HL2 blood? Make sure to look in there to see if the replacement is even working. If not, then you'll need to find another blood replacer.

The Blood Replacer I recommend the most is this: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2737023453
The blood fits GM Realism if that is what you are going for.

There is also this one: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2912850570
This is a bit less realistic but it works good.

alright, so my problem is currently that any blood replacements are just half life 2 blood or leaft 4 dead blood

Odd, I'm sorry to say this but I don't know any other ways to quick fix this. Have you changed the files on Gmod? If you change the blood decals to your own, then that could cause problems. I assume you didn't, as I don't know how to do that, so you probably don't either. You could go to a previous version before any of this happened.
