jbmod sucks
yep jbmod is back and it sucks! dont download it pls (This is a joke dont take that serious)

You should all remember that the only real point of JBMod getting a Steam release was for historical preservation purposes more than anything else. Of course it doesn't stand a chance in this day and age in comparison to the behemoth of player-created content that is modern GMod, but that's not the point. It's more so a time-capsule back to the mid-2000s era of the Source Engine. There's no reason to not download it, but it should be expected that it will feel barebones given that we're not living in 2006 anymore and don't share the same standards as we did back then.

I also feel the need to mention that acting like radical zealots defecating on the husk of a long-dead project is more or less like beating a dead horse.

jbmod is like for half-life games. garry's mod is an independent game that doesn't require anything. it merely needs to find supported source engine games to mount and use it's assets. unless i am wrong, that's all i am concluding.

i don't think i wanna try it either. gmod is getting updates. jbmod is, very old. like what, 2004? very old limited engine.

Last I checked I don't think he really cares much. Not many people will even be actively playing on jbmod because of how limited it is. They will probably try it out for a while, get bored, and then go back to playing gmod.

It's not pathetic, it's not even a thing.

JBmod hasn't been updated in more than 10 years, that's why it sucks to today's standards

Unironically the dumbest thing I have ever read in this forum.
And that's saying a lot.

If you knew even the slightest bit of Gmod history, you'd know JBmod was what gave garry the inspiration to make Gmod.

It was neat reading Garry Newman's twitter. He talked about how several Garry's Mod updates were fueled by the fear of JBmod "about to release a major update" and Garry did not want to get pushed from the top. I don't think any of those big updates to JBmod ever arrived?

Also, the "JB" behind JBmod wasn't involved in the mod beyond the earliest parts. The tacky website, subsequent updates, the "jokes" were all done by the group of people who took over updating the mod. JB himself was a young, rookie coder who was concerned about his effort going to waste if Valve decided they didn't like how he was using their IP.
