Yes, alot of people in semi-serious RP servers will use the rules to stop your fun just because of the rules.

If they made any efford not to condition themselves to get annoyed when a rule is broken, they would enjoy the experience much more.

It's so bizarre how exactly the same each of these servers are, you join you're stuck in some tiny training room with nonsense plastered all over the walls, you gotta wait around for some "staff" to come and train you about nonsense "faces" and if while you are waiting around for someone to get bored and come and train you for the hundreth time you try to have fun with talking to someone you get insta jailed by an admin who tells you the "server isn't for you". I really dont get why each of these servers pushes people away from the get go seems pretty backwards to me, specially when the people they are removing are interested in having fun rather than being silent awkward ♥♥♥♥♥. And whats more when you finish your pointless tedious boring training you literally have nothing to do and no direction.

A lot of rules in RP servers don't make sense to me. Like RDM'ing. If you are RP'ing and someone RDM's, why is it almost always a bannable offense? It makes more sense for me in the atmophere of roleplay for it to count as a murder charge and make people RP'ing as police do their job.

God forbid people actually have something to do other than training or events. All i wanted to do was have some fun and mess around in a star wars server but that seems to be absolutely impossible and pointless.

DID YOU JUST OFFEND MY BRONY RP SERVER (FREE VBUCKS) SERVER???? ♥♥♥♥ YOU, MAY YOU BURN IN HELL BY CELESTIA HERSELF!!!

In all seriousness people gotta loosen up, the rules are just a base, you don’t need to follow them word for word, just don’t do the ones that mess with others, then that’s where it gets bad, even then don’t scream about it, it’s gonna make the rule breaker want more reaction.

Some players (especially server staff) Take a game like GMOD too seriously, the point of a video game is to have fun, regardless of the type of game.

It seem completely backwards to me how most servers from the moment you join seem to for whatever reason make it their goal to make it impossible to have fun. They want everyone but them and their friends or donators to toe the line in this tiny rule bubble where you aren't allowed to do anything but closely follow the training until you get dropped into this empty world of no one doing anything because theyre not allowed. Practically the entirety of the fun derived from gmod you completely fabricate from the experiences you have with people, and these servers seem hellbent on removing that. Im convinced majority of peoples time spent on these rp gmod servers are in training learning rules or being jailed and arguing with admins about rules.

not to mention most of the time these are servers where you rank up (for example starwars rp) and its very hard to get up from the bottom - of course unless you pay or devote countless hours to it just to get 1 rank up.
Also, the word isn’t hard ass, it’s hard head or tight ass

Jesus, calm down. You’re so salty over me correcting you, because that def doesn’t go with your context. Tight asses are what you’re referring to.

I was giving you a hard time because you corrected me for no reason i dont have to be salty about it to do it. Why do you want to argue sematics about the word i chose exactly, what's your goal here? Hard ass usually refers to people who are authoritative or tight about rules, tight ass usually refers to people who are stingy with money, hard headed usually refers to people who are stubborn. I really dont see why it matters or why i have to give you a lesson on words. Honestly theyre practically all applicable to what i said.

Tight ass means tight about the rules and doesn't want to put a foot out of line, the ♥♥♥♥ did you get stingy with money? That's called a Cheapshit.
Why do you even wanna give me a hard time? That's just toxic it makes you no different from the people you are complaining about. "Make it a good expirence and don't try to argue, be friendly" and look at you. Hypocrite.
