Yes, as it isn't a virus but a script that devs updated their addons overwriting what their addons originally did.

You know what? There's a thread made 9 hours ago warning about some other addons doing the same thing. It's the copycat phenomenon and may done by someone separate from the previous stuff. It's basically an evil trend right now.

This is cruel stuff. I'm reminded of a joke I heard a long time ago about how in order to show someone the worst and most disgusting picture possible it means you must see many disgusting pictures and pick your favorite, so who's the real loser?

The good news is that this stuff is not contagious. It will not spread and always has a precise addon or origin that when removed. A personal favorite trick of mine is to start with low volume in case someone wants to play a loud noise and hold one hand loosely in front of my face so that if something suddenly appears I won't see most of it.

Is there any way to see if gmod is free from those horrendous pictures? Just wanted to double check before I boot the game up again
