Why is the workshop not working?

I was going to play some Garry's mod but it says "no connection with internet" or something like that, i could only play it if i was offline, but i wanted to try some new mods. What do i do? elp me :(

it's been like that for days now. No one knows when it will be fixed. Seems like a slight server issue you can still load the page but searching doesn't work. Ik other games workshops work but I believe each games workshop is on its own server to help stabilize the load. Recommend trying to bug report this to valve. Also have the same issue to where a quarter of my addons fail to load when launching the game and so does everyone else.
This is a copy and paste message made hours prior. If it is flat out saying "no connection with internet" they probably shut down the server and are working on fixing the problem.

Map and Tool Category for browsing the workshop now shows no result despite there being over 36000+ Map in the workshop and many more for the tool category that I've lost track counting. What happened to the workshop?
