What should I do in Gmod?

I don't know why, but I never know what to do in it. I know that Gmod offers a lot and maybe that is the main reason why I struggle to come up with ideas. I played mostly TT and H&S with friends back in the days. I have played 1-2 days ago Zombie Mode server, but it was kinda weird to be honest.

I'm like Ricky from Trailer Park Boys, I need notepad with goals in numberical order to no lose my patient lol. I would generally like to know what do you guys do in Gmod.

I think you should just keep trying gamemodes until one sticks; maybe find an RP server for your favorite series/franchise if you like it?

You could try this: get a bunch of addons that essentially let you become a game master that controls NPCs and or set up events in-game, then set up a roleplay campaign a-la Dungeons & Dragons with your friends.

I wanted to do this but I haven't gotten enough people in it yet, they don't seem to be interested in trying this out.
