i tried for an hour yesterday then i stopped. all i could figure out was how to keep the camera static or keep it focused on someone. however what i want to know desperately is if i can track a walking character while maintaining the distance. not be static and just keep looking at it. lets say i want to follow someone who is driving a car. is that possible even? if so how?
Short answer : you can't, there is no such feature in the default camera tool.
The only way to follow a car, or a props overall is to weld the camera to it. There is no way to make it follow a character tho', unless you ruse addons and / or heavy workaround.
But there is some nice addons that you may find interesting.
