Brand new to gmod what should i or need to get from the workshop?

just got gmod today after so many gmod videos watched on youtube what do i need to play gmod to the fullest?

This question is a tad subjective since it's really dependent on what you wanna do, i.e posing, f*cking around in singleplayer or with friends, building contraptions, etc.

However I will recommended 2 mods I've found to be the most fun:
Track Assembly Tool is great for using the base game ball track pieces since it will automatically snap them together (it works for other track types but that's the only one i use it for)
Sledbuild adds a gamemode that lets you build sleds, it's primarily for multiplayer but I've found that it to be enjoyable in singleplayer too just making random sleds to see if they'll actually function.

if you're looking to kill npcs and such I'd say Deathmatch Bots is pretty good even though it's in an extremely early state and is pretty buggy but still manageable and enjoyable.

"it's in an extremely early state and is pretty buggy", that is a problem with the bots right now and will be fixed based on the mods page, and honestly I've found if you play on a map with more than 1 spawn it's manageable

Mostly... I'm using LeadKiller's Bots... Which i have improved them having ability to play ctf maps like ctf_2fort likely they can capture the intelligence and their aim is more likely an average TF2 player's aim.

ah yeah, I've never heard of Leadkiller's Bots, so I really only use Deathmatch Bots or just play Combine Onslaught V2 for npc battles.

LeadKiller is the developer of TF2 Gamemode tho... They have made the Leadbot as well... They literally know the lua as well... But mostly yeah the Leadbot is kinda was likely broken from base itself... So i decided to remake it to make them playable... So yeah... Now they are playable, but unfortunately i don't think that LeadKiller would literally like my modified version... Anyways... I still hope Leadkiller would publish their project to the Workshop.
Some fact yep their AI is more likely a bit better than Deathmatch Bots... They can be playable at any type of Gamemodes (Almost ofc)
