Half-Life 2 In GMod?

Is there a way to play the Half-Life 2 campaign in Garry's Mod? Would be nice if I could play it with addons too. Yes, I own Half-Life 2.

just mount the game onto gmod, and you will get every single map in half life ported to gmod

I've already done that much just not sure if the maps will play out properly. I'll give it a go.

yeah there is a way, you just have to add "half life 2" in the menu, on the lower right, there is a button showing every valve game, you tick "half life 2" and go to singleplayer, and there should be a tab showing about 65 half life maps, you hit one, and start playing. like in half life 2 once you complete the map, it will load the next one

Yes, just simply mount Half-Life 2 to gmod and you'll see every map for HL2 in it's own category in the map list, every map works exactly as it would in it's own game.

I've spent the time messing around in the Red Letter Day chapter with Dr. Kleiner, Alyx and Barney, killing each one of them at certain times and seeing how certain scenes play out. (Makes them look crazy when they're talking to thin air.)

I did hear that the whole HL2 campaign available as an addon on the Steam Workshop as well, maybe try looking for that addon, it might be what you're looking for
