Can We Talk About That One Creepy Ragdoll?
You guys probably know which one I'm talking about. The one without eyes or a mouth, just blackness where those 2 things should be. His skin looks more... dark, I guess you could say. Not black-dark, but more of a plywood-floor kind of skin color. Can we talk about him for a second? I've always wondered why he exists. He never appears in the Half Life episodes as far as I know, so what's up with him? Any ideas?

Is this who you're talking about?
If that's who he's asking about, then the answers pretty simple. They used that low resolution model to help performance when a scene was being rendered from far away.
