Plus if someone gets your ip they can only find out sometimes what country you live in,
and ddos them, which then I recommend getting their ip and ddos them or just call your internet provider or get a firewall like a good boy.
Any server you join NEEDS your ip or at least an IP connected to your IP (vpn)
But there might be something I dont know of.
For you I'd recommend just getting something like NordVPN I suppose.
They can also target you, do port scans and then try to hack into any services you've got publicly running. An email server, FTP, SSH, Telnet, and commonly your router has port 80/8080/443/8443 opened which grants hackers access to the admin login in which they can brute force.
