MLP/Furry RP servers ?

You probably came here to flame, insult my mom, or say something that would offend a "broni" or a "furry" most likely, but anything negative you will say in these comments I would like you to know right away, will not affect me since I do not affiliate to any of these two categories of people. I am here to talk about "RP" servers.


First off, no, I am not looking for "MLP" or "Furry" "RP" Servers.

Now that I got your attention:

Don't scream "clickbait" yet, because it isn't. "How", you ask?
Because I am going to include these two "types" of "Roleplay" servers in my thread, therefore making it not clickbait, since it includes what you clicked here for.

Roleplay:
To me, Roleplay servers are a slow-paced, character-developpement focused game where you are your character, you build a backstory and you build the progression of that character's story, it can be the quality of their lives through their character developpment, because of what you decided them to be, or simply put, what they end up being.

DarkRP servers for me now is definite: It cannot possibly be considered as Roleplay.
That's where MLP Or Furry RP servers come into place, they are most often all-set. You play as a pre-defined character, which is impossible to call roleplay, since, you do play as this character, but, it isn't yours, and, since MLP for example is a kid's show, your way of playing it cannot possibly be cannon. Same goes for Starwars RP.
Darth Vader for example, never said " ♥♥♥♥ your mom " to Obi-Wan because Obi-Want bunnyhopped his way to Darthvader to try and kill him. DarkRP is all around roles, the police, a criminal, ect.. But it's not you, you play as a mere role, not a character.

Clockwork HL2RP is the perfect format for roleplay servers, even thought the tone is pre-defined, your character isn't. You do start as a civilian, yes, but your character grows to be something else if you decide so. That's what's so great about it.

I have one final request to ask you all , if you did read this thread so far:

Define your perception of what Roleplay is. I am most interested.

Yes, I clear things out pretty soon so people do not think of me as any of these two categories of people. Since the two previous threads I made brought no attention to it, I thought this "click-baity" title would. I want Gmod players to tell me what they think of Roleplay, and what is their definition of it, simply. But no one likes that, it's boring, people prefer flaming on MLP / Furry threads. So, I made this.

offten when i think of rping i think of the days where i used ti play DND (ahh good times) Like you said its a story you make with own character traits maybe some back stories ect. Funny you mention these two groups because i was wondering if people make stories or in movies non human (being animal or some kind of humaniod being) why don't they get the severe hate? You see movies with tons of these characters heck even TV shows yet no one bats an eye. But when someone creates their own character its basically throwing chum into the water and wait for the sharks to bite.

Dear audience, welcome our friendly neighborhood Friend! Here to join in on this cleverly kinda clickbait thread!
"To me, Rp, or Roleplay, is another way to develop characters, interact with other people or fans, and just a fun way to chat in general! However, there are many types of ways to 'RP' so to speak. The only one I disagree with is one lining, something in which the person barely decribes an action, and is a rather crude and amateuric way to actually write a story, (example: "*nuzzles against u*"). Another pet peeve is when people tend to be rather...uncreative with their characters, barely giving them life or story, but instead clinging onto stereotypes or tropes,(examples: likes;good stuff, dislikes:bad stuff, personality:tsudere, backstory:her parents died and she got superpowers), not to mention the "God Mods", people who make their character(s) ALL POWERFUL, I kinda get it(whispering:not really), people don't want to seem weak, or for their character(s) to die. But those people need to know that OCs are a way to write stories, a mere tool to express your creativity in, not your 'child'. Netherless, I see RP as a way to have fun, make friends, and to create a story, with many others! BUT! That's all the time we have for today folks! Oh, hello raging Shadow fan!"
