how is starwars RP a fun mode?

I've tried about 5 star wars RP servers, to see if i could have fun , but it's the same thing in all of them:
40 minutes of downloading , IT'S WORTH IT they say, but i just see the 5% of the downloaded addons
you wait for a trainer, and then do a long and boring training with these faces, rules and ranks and other stuff
now this is the most fun part : going around, patrolling NOTHING and trying to communicate with other players, or doing a tryout for some lore special unit

why do so many people play this? why do people like this SO MUCH?

I'm not just complaining here, I also really can't understand why people like this excuse of a gamemode so much

And the events to be part of or have a role in it to complete the same goal as your regiments do

im not saying it appeals to everyone im saying what it appeals to most also arma is in the same boat with the star wars RP

Not at all, Arma lets you roleplay as a soldier even in NON roleplay servers.

i didnt say arma was limited to Star wars thats the same with Gmod there both games that give you many options to do and have very similar way of doing it
