At least in SFM you don't have to go all the way across a map and having to setup a camera next to a model just to adjust the eyes on a lot of the models in workshop to get them lined up correctly. SFM also can run any model that is in gmod which porting from gmod to SFM is super simple without the need of that workshop downloader website(which got taken down) Porting from SFM to gmod on the other hand is another story.

gmod is a game, where as sfm is the program you want for ♥♥♥♥♥♥ low quality animations, theres much better animation programs then sfm, but since sfm is mostly used for memes and ♥♥♥♥♥♥ animations, so thats your go to option for getting a hand into animating

Okay few counters to your statements and reminder Blender and other programs are better for animation and still renders if you like shiny objects and desire 4k resolution with their PORN.

The Winglet, MechaFourth, STBlackST (Uses both SFM and Gmod), Crash Maul, Silentmanjoe, Lazypurple, DasMxD and many other talented animators that can push SFM to it's limits for being such an old program even ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ DevilArtemis switches between both SFM and Blender since he has stated in a Q&A video that "SFM has certain features that Blender itself lacks and vice versa for Blender vs SFM"

Gmod is a game as SFM is a Program.
This is both true and not true in the case for SFM though it is officially an animation program it does run off the 2008 build of TF2 so it is in a small part a game (you can control the classes and have them in an animation) Gmod is mostly a game since it functions like a game and though it has animation tools it is only mostly a game since it has connection to game servers and has other game models albeit game modes that are hardly played nowadays, when has anyone last played TTT or PH? only mode other than sandbox that gets played is Gmod RP.

Sfm is mostly used for memes and ♥♥♥♥♥♥ animations.
The only person who has the biggest spotlight when it comes to Memes and ♥♥♥♥♥♥ Animations so far is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ SMG4 and his animations and popularity are only there because he at least knows how to unitize a current meme trend to make a video upload worthy and the fact that he uses Mario and other Nintendo properties as the main focus of his channel and content plus Gmod is already the top of the "♥♥♥♥♥♥ animations and memes" you try to say SFM has. Yes SFM animators do have its meme and wacky animation styles depending on who animates but Gmod is where an animation can be so lazily made and "♥♥♥♥♥♥" as you put it but it gets popular because it is "Easy to use and animate" when SFM is easier to learn animation with than me when "I have to file my taxes at the last minute because I decide to stay up all night debating on weather I should have another beer with my Lasagna the night before" and yes I did just say that whole bit there but I felt like giving a meme response there at the end.

SFM and Gmod as well as Blender have their pros and cons but in the end it's personal preference and as long as other 3d animators or artists are having fun doing the stuff they like it should not really be a matter of "which is better" but more like What the great and late Kitty0706 once said "My words of wisdom is, do what you love." and I will stand by that. We all have opinions and if you got upset at mine then oh well it's on you.

Gmod is the gud reason why TF2 exist from this day all ya need is ideas and A LOT OF PATIENCE

besides SFM sucks for me cuz it keeps crashing its only good for Artworks , for animation well dont get 4K monitor get 1080p and you will be fine

Gmod is better

sfm was specifically made for animations. usually people just burn out on it because it looks bad, if you put time and effort into it it will look good. saying that sfm sucks for animation is the same as saying gmod is bad as a sandbox, both are good for their purposes
