How can you advertise a gmod server?

We spent 2 weeks reworking and starting our servers from fresh and taking some downtime added to a very hard drop in players, does anyone know a good way of advertising a server? We completely redesigned and custom coded our server and bought a cage and collocated because of the need for higher performance but the player drop and our hiatus really hurt us.

If you are looking for good ways to advertise not just your server but your community im making a guide on it soon but for now just do these things.

1. Get a discord server and tell your friends about it and get them to share it around, advertise in different servers and just get people to join that then advertise your gmod server in that discord server.

2. You could also try some sub reddits as they allow advertising alongside other social medias like twitter or something maybe.

3. I think one of the most important things about advertising is you have to have a good impression if people were to join your server such as dont treat them like trash and make sure they have a good time if they are to join your server and that is how you can maintain a player base

There are so many ways to advertise your server you just have to be creative on how you do it
