Can I use leaked gmod store stuff on my server?

Hey I'm thinking of opening a darkrp server but arcbank and Vcmod is really expensive , can I just get the leak on nulledbb? Will it work and don't I need a one time activation code on it? Should I use leaks is there anything wrong with them?

I'm currently making my own server but I code almost every cool "features" myself, that's far better than anything else, believe me..
I think you can use leaked addons until you earn enough money with your server to buy them ONLY if you know a bit LUA to remove backdoors

Also, this isn't bad at all for the addon's developers because if he doesn't have enough money to buy the addon, they he won't buy the addon anyway

Then they shouldnt use it, if people without the money dont buy it, why should people with the money buy it,

Everyone should have to buy it.

As i said before, how can you know if a add on is gonna be actually good with out being able to TRY it? Its a script thats a 3rd party program that is un ranked or untested, and if its being sold for 50 on up, thats the price of a full game! There are hardly any ways to test the programs first before seeing its functionality and how it holds up to scrutany. There are no demos for these scripts, nor is there anyway to really see if they are what they say they are. I don't advocate piracy but there should be more ways to test these scripts and addons that people are so adiment to get.

There are videos from SO MANY PEOPLE, seriously its pretty easy to know what you are getting.

I have only seen 3 addons for 50EUR,DOLLAR ect.

This topic is about stealing addons from developers for your publc servers, I personally could care less if you pirate something like Windows, Microsoft doesn't deserve a dime. But a GMod developer is like you or I, just normal people trying to make a buck off their hard work.

What does pre GMod 12 have to do with anything? I tried to make it as simple as I can for you to understand this discussion.

This specific discussion is about GMod 13, and if it's right to steal from developers and gain publicity while using stolen content.

I'm not sure who brought up pre-Gmod 12, why they did, or what the relevance is, but I'm sticking to the topic of this discussion.

I use leaked addons some times, but I am a developer so I know lua, so I can find the backdoors and remove them, and add a auto updater if i know the link!!!

Yes, you can use leaked gmodstore addons. but the fact that leaks like sh_whitelist has backdoor, "gives the user superadmin". so no, i don't recommend to use leaked addons.

It's fine as long as you make sure there's no backdoors in the addons. Look in the addons for any strange code that looks like it shouldn't be there.
