Yes. I did it, but it is quite complex.

First, you will need MotioninJoy to connect the controller, as Windows doesn't have native controller support.

Second, you will need Xpadder to assign controller buttons to keys, as Gmod won't take a PS3 controller as a valid input, therefore you will have to emulate a keyboard.

However, I highly recommend to play Garry's Mod and any other FPS game with keyboard/mouse. For driving games, controllers really are great.

Are you serious Dr.Hax? If you use MotionJoy just select emulate like a xbox360 controller then enable the gamepad in the Gary's Mod option menu and you are done.
