Couldn't CRC Map

Hey guys,
I recently picked up a new computer and had to install my gmod on it anew. I played Morbus mostly for a while because I was dreading having to redownload all the game modes again. Well today I finally downloaded TTT and when I went to play I was getting the Couldn't CRC Map on every single map that was up.

Although I knew it wasn't the problem, I tried deleting the map files, but to no avail.

I also verified the integrity of game cache but that didn't pick up the problem.

So what's the deal gang?

Further update: Just tried playing on other modes. Every server and gamemode is now giving me the same CRC Map error.

This is still an active problem. Have reinstalled the game(s) and everything. Nothing seems to fix it.

Nearly 2 months later. Still a problem for me as well. Have reinstalled everything, nothing works.

Delete ALL of the contents of your garrysmod/maps folder. and the stuff isnide graphs too. but not the graphs folder.

Still having this issue. As are many other plays that post threads about it and never seem to get any answer. I'll continue to bump this every now and then.

Thank you for the post, but as I said previously, deleting the map files doesn't do anything. It just redownloads the map automatically and it's still broken. I've tried deleting it and then downloading a copy from workshop but I still get the CRC error.

Hey Matty, I don't know if this will work for you since it took me several times for it to work, but after reinstalling twice and then doing what Short Circuit posted in that thread link, it finally worked again.

Unfortunately I can't help you as it appears the whomever that was has had their account deleted (which deletes all of their posts.)

Try uninstalling / reinstalling, and then running garry's mod/steam as administrator. That's the best help I can give you after 2 years. :)

Hey dude, u have to unistall gmod form steam, if you have 1 or more hard drives u have to delete everything from there as well, than u need to run %appdata% and delete everything from there, press windows button and r at the same time, clear ur bin and u all set
