My glass/windows are no longer clear! D:

I'm relatively new to gmod so i dont mess with the settings or anything that much. I started up the game just like any other day and the windows in a building that are normally perfectly clear which i am able to shoot through are appearing a very bright white to the point where I can't see through them anymore. if I shoot them, they go back to a normal shot up broken window that you can see through. this is super annoying when trying to shoot into/out of the building. the map is schooldayV2 or whatever it's called. I already uninstalled and reinstalled the map and nothing changed. any suggestions are welcome. thanks!

You could be missing some textures. Do you have the right games mounted?

it worked before and I havent changed anything or added or gotten rid of any games :/

the day before i noticed it was different. that's whats got me so puzzled, the only thing I did between when it worked and when it didnt was get a few npc packs.

Try disabling all addons except for the map

thanks for the help guys, it fixed itself somehow, or i remounted a game or something..but for the life of me i cant remember what it was that fixed it! i guess that's how i got myself into that mess. but anyway thanks again!

I seem to be having the same issues. Oddly enough, the only map where this happens is "Driver's Heaven". Is it an issue with the map, or is it something I downloaded?

I was having the same issue and typing this into the console fixed it:

mat_specular 0
