GMod on a Mac (Please help)

Hello. Im playing GMod on a Macbook Pro 13" (yes, I know theyre not made for gaming, I do that on my PS3), but whenever I press (for example) F4 to access the DarkRP menu when Im playing on a DarkRP server, it does not work. This is because its a function key, and whenever I press it, instead some sort of menu comes up with all of my apps on the computer.
Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks.

Not too sure, but I know if you go into your keyboard options and bind the default F4 to a different key, it should work perfectly fine.

you see the button fn at bottom of your keyboard, press that and f4 or any of the other mac binded keys at the same time, it will not use the function for while you are holding it

Yeah, the pie guy is right. You press and hold fn and THEN you press F# while you're holding down fn. My cousin taught me that for use in Minecraft, and it has served me well.

I have a MacBook air, and I try to open the f4 menu in darkrp, and I disabled the f4 key, and now I need to rebind it to open the f4 menu, anyone know how to do it?
