Why i have black and purple boxes in textures like grass and gravity gun and some others??

I don't think you need HL2 to actualy run Gmod but CSS is need for a lot of the material. But I'd suggest opening up a steam ticket. But it might just be that you need HL2 but open up a ticket because I don't want to waste your money.
