My entire map is just pink and black checkerboard

i tried playing several maps today, to find a lot of checkers and error messages, i download alot of texture packs that i was told would fix the problem and it hasnt, this is fustrating because it means i cant play at all because all i see in the map is checkers is anyone else having this problem and does anyone know how to fix it?

Buy more source games, click on the controller in the bottom right coner of the menu screen, enable games, restart, fixed :D Then you can get back to spamming :D

I have found that most maps use Counter-Strike: Source textures and models. Either purchase the game, or refer to the video below:

you must be new to Gmod. it means you dont have the required games or content for the map. some texture packs wont do anything for you. the best thing you can do is get Counter Strike: source, Team Fortress 2, Left 4 Dead 1 (for some good ragdolls, for posing) and maybe some TTT content packs
