Post Processing / Shader Problem
Whenever I use Toy Town, Bloom or Sun Rays, they do not do anything! Toggling them doesn't change anything at all, but it works for my friends.
I also have a problem that may be related to the same: lamps with textures do not show the textures!
Also particle systems all just don't appear.
And the cubemap texture is just black.
Are these related or completely different?

Bump! All of these are issues for me!

I've actually figured out the problem, just forgot about this discussion post. You need to enter the console and type in mat_dxlevel (don't press enter). If it says some number lower than 90, you need to change it, otherwise it's a completely different problem. If it is under 90, change it to 90, 95 or 98.

What are your PC specs? GPU (graphics card) is most important.

Put in your launch options -dxlevel 90
Then close the game and remove that command.

Having this problem too, mat_dxlevel isn't the thing. Set it to 90 when it was at 95, should I set it to 98? I have a high-powered computer.

Maybe it's the RAM amount
When I upgraded my ram from 2 to 4 the shaders started to work for me
