how to stop the downloading of addons

Go to the workshop-subscribed and uncheck all of your subscribed addons

jeah there is the problem its so slow when i do that, if i enable/disable-instal/uninstall something it will lagg so hard that i need to wait 5 minutes to do the next one

QUESTION : so i have my computer and my other computer. The first one have a LOTS of gmod addon while the other is none. If i unsubscribe the addon , can i still use the addon on my old computer?

First of all, you have to open up your browser, make a bookmark with this: javascript:(function(){jQuery('.general_btn.unsubscribe').map(function(){this.click()})})()

This is a javascript which is really good, it automaticly unsubscribes all your addons for you. You just have to go to www.steamcommunity.com, navigate to your Garry's Mod's workshop subscribed items, and then click the bookmark.

On the menu, go into options>multiplayer. Find the drop down box that says "When a server tries to download custom content to your computer"
You can select no files, all files, just map files, or everything except sound files.
