Problem: Engine Error

Today when I opened Gmod it says Engine Error, and I did all the direction it was said to do. but it still doesn't work, does this happen because of the new Steam Pipe? or is there something wrong with my computer?

well Garry fixed the problem around the time when Gmod 13 Beta ended. and it happened again during the steam pipe time. But i am not sure why it does that now

There's a way to fix this problem without having to re-install :D ~~~~ Open steam > Library > Games > Garry's Mode (right click with mouse) > Properties > Local Files > Verify Integrity Of Game Cache... press it and wait. Should be solved... Hopefully this helps! ;)

If neither of these solutions work than I have 2 which might 1.check if your firewall caught something that has to do with the game 2.install tf2 (team fortress 2)and verify the integrity of game cache (Gmod first) then tf2 And gmod again. What the verifying integrity of game cache will is it will check if the game has any corrupted files and will replace them with new ones

This is a 10 year old thread, make a new one requesting help. List any screenshots you have or any details on what you have tried since receiving the error.
