Gmod server update not working

I can't seem to update my server. I am with a hosting company and I run the command to update steam files. It says the following:

HLDS installation up to date

But after running it and it completing successfully, the server still says its out of date. I reused the files from a old Gmod server I used to have so I knew it would be out of date but is their a file or something that is not updating properly? Or is there a way to do a clean install without losing my maps and addons?

Problem Resolved for me. it was the New SteamPipe thing that was causing it

I had to manually move over the files.

In the new update they got rid of the Orangebox folder it is now just directly Garrysmod. I had to move it over and then fix the updater to write to the new location: C:\srcds\garrysmod

It updated fine from there. Let me know if it helps

I don't understand. So in the srcds folder there's no more orangebox? What did you do with the files inside of the orangebox folder? Then how did you fix the updater

Their is no more OrangeBox, now it lists(for me) like this:
C:\srcds
in that folder their is
Garrysmod
bin
mount
sourceengine
platform

If Gmod was in your orangebox folder it is now outside of the orangbox folder and is just in the srcds directory.
So to change the updater just change the batch file that you use to update to install to
C:\srcds\garrysmod\

i tried moving mine out from /orangebox but it just remakes and starts downloading garrysmod again. any ideas ?

You need to use SteamCMD, not Half-Life Update Tool

i don't have this folder whats so ever but the server worked and when i saw the new update out i fought i could update it
HOW WRONG I WAS
This file does not exist for me

C:\srcds

I updated it and nobody can connect Its stupid.
