Garry's Mod, Getting into a vehicle?

Just downloaded Garry's Mod and press e by the door of the vehicle but nothing happens. I am on sandbox. Do i need to download something?

Did you spawn a vehicle, or just a model of a vehicle?

Actual (useable) vehicles are in the Vehicles tab at the top of the screen.

Yeah some of the vehicals in the props list look like they can be drivable :/

If you cannot get into a car or something like that, try looking for a control guide and it should show you the basic commands... Yeah but it is E to get into a car.

Ok, am having the same issue. I have just installed Garrys Mod and started a new world, held down Q and selected the Buggy from the Vehicles tab at the Top of the screen (NOT from within the Half Life Vehicles tab on the left which are props).

The buggy spawns but pressing e (which is bound to use) anywhere around the buggy does nothing.

I tried noclipping into the buggy and pressing e, and tried remapping use to another key. Neither works.

I finally opened the console and typed +use and magically I entered the buggy.

Exactly the same occurs with the airboat.

Any ideas how to fix the keybinding?

UPDATE: I'm also thinking that there is something else odd going on. When I left click on an object with the Physics Gun I can't lift or move it. Instead I can only rotate it.

UPDATE 2: Now I seem to be able to use by pressing the console key.... ie double tap console and I enter a vehicle... wtf.

Have reset Keybinding to Default and still havingf problems

Okay, I fixed the issue.

Had to delete my steam\steamapps\USERNAME\garrysmod\garrysmod\cfg\config_default.cfg file

You press the G button.
If it doesnt work, validate your cache and then reinstall if files are missing.

I'm having the same issue. Deleted the config file and it didn't help at all. What do I do?
