Gmod Hamachi Server.

Hey guys, I was wondering if I could make a server based on hamachi.
If so, please tell me how. Everytime I try to make a server, and then give the adress to my friends they can't join, somehow.

Same here, been trying to get a private server for friends.

1.Create chamachi group
2.Tell your friends to join your group
3.In garrys mod click multiplayer and start server
4.Tell your friends your chamachi IP adress
5.They must turn on console and type "connect {your chamachi IP adress}
ex: connect 25.79.104.23

If its not working check your firewall if its blocking gm or chamachi!

So you're telling me that what I should do is:
1º Create Hamachi Group.
2º Make your friends join it.
3º Create a server on gmod. (You mean a local server, right?)
4º Give them my ip adress.
5º They must turn on the developer console and type ' connect {Hamachi Ip here.} '
6º If it doesn't work, we should check our firewalls.
That's exactly what I've done, but it just won't work... It says that the server is not avaliable, when they try to join me.

You did it right, but i dont know why it's not working.
I had the same problem in windows xp but now i have win 8 and evertyhing works good.

Anyway, use tunngle, does the same as hamachi, just way easier, and programmed for gaming. It has settings ready-made for you, like ready made presets for the game you want.

I see, I'm already used to work with tunngle. But I tought it wouldn't work with Gmod. Anyway, does it work the same way that hamachi does? I mean, if the method of setting up the server is same, as hamachi.

Hi. Just wanna say, why use Hamachi?
It's slow, requires that all players have it installed etc. etc. etc.
If you want to, I can help you set up a real server. :)
I got one myself called Fryd Bootcamp, and I have experience with servers of all kinds. :)
By the way, when you give them your IP address, make sure it's the external one. :)
In Hamachi your ip is found in the Hamachi window, and without Hamachi, go to http://whatismyipaddress.com/ to find it. :)

I just need the server to play with friends, I mean, one or two friends. I don't realy need a real server for now. About the ip adress, I'll try it, thanks.
