Nobody can join my gmod server(port forwarding issue)
I know how to port forward, I've done it and it worked just fine with my minecraft server and stuff.

I'm creating a gmod server, and i can go on it, but other people can't connect. it's definitely a port forwarding issue, but i'm trying to figure out how to fix it.

I've read through this thread, http://forums.srcds.com/viewtopic/15755, which seems pretty similar to the problem i have, but id on't really understand how they fixed it.

I have both 27015 and 27005 port forwarded on TCP/UDP, but when i go on a port checker website it says the port is not open.

If anyone could help me that would be great :D

i tried that, and if i did it right, i put the starting port 27000 and ending port 27050, and it just said "Duplicated WAN Port Range!" ... Also i'm pretty sure i'm port forwarding the right ports but for some reason its just not working... like a firewall or something (which is disabled)
the last post ont he link in my post said: "For anyone reading this with the same issue - I had conflicting ports - forwarded 27015 to multiple lan servers! dont do that only forward one port to one machine."

they looked liek they had the exact same problem as me buut i don't really understand how they fixed it... Lol.

How are you launching the server? Through the console, through the menu, or a separate server?
list of all the prots i have forwarded (all the same starting/ending port and all TCP/UDP if it really matters)

8192
25565
8123
20059
27015
27005
Uh i dont think it really matters hwo im launching it really, but i jsut created a shortcut and added these to the directory it goes to:

" C:\srcds\orangebox\srcds.exe -console -game garrysmod -port 27015 +maxplayers 15 +map gm_construct +gamemode sandbox "

Like i said, I can join jsut fine but other people can't.

I just asked because I have a friend who was launching the server from the menu and had the maxplayers set to 1. It was a long shot, but there was a chance you made the same mistake.
Lol ok.

a lot of the suggestions people give have been having to do with he server itself and stuff, but i know the issue has to be soemthing with port forwarding :p
Yeah, I tried that and it still didnt work :l
Yeah, I have this problem too and IDK whats wrong
(sorry for late reply)
my router brand is SMC and the model is SMCD3GNV (i have comcast)
Uh i could give you my...skype... or something... lol
Oh i jsut realised you put a edit in and said the port checker said yours was closed too... when you said to do the port forward 2700-27050 i just did it and port ckecked it or whatever... i dident actually test it, lol.

Maybe put "connect (insert your IP)" in console
