Portal Mounting Not Working - NOT Portal 2

Now, I know Portal 2 mounting working properly isn't expectable to be seen within the next weeks, but I don't understand how the mounting for the original Portal game seems to be broken. Props, maps, effects, nothing from there works.

Any info into this problem, or a temp. fix to overcome the bug?

I am having this problem too. Any help would be appreciated. I can mount Portal, but cannot access any maps, and props do not spawn.

I'm having the same issue too and it came up as of that wierd update they did to Portal. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling gmod and it still seems to have the issue. I made sure the checkbox was marked too.

I'm gonna see if changing Portal over to the Steampipe beta will allow it to mount. I will then reply with my results.

FIX CONFIRMED! Enable the Steampipe Beta and relaunch Portal. After the conversion, Portal will once again be able to mount in Gmod.

Yeah lol, the Portal model wasn't made for faceposing.

I'm having trouble with the HL2 and L4D models. I can't get their eyes to close. They can open wide, but they cannot close.

Yup. I just converted to the steam pipe version.

can anybody help me? when i try and spawn in a portal 2 item/effect in gmod, my game crashes. any advice?
