How do i get godmode to work?

how do i get godemode to work? I have it checked off but i keep dying help me!!!!!!!

Goto options > Keyboard > Advanced > and tick enable developer console, press the key left of the 1 key ingame it should bring up a console type in sv_cheats 2 then type in god.

You should have godmode afterwards, you cant do this on servers unless its your own server

If you're in singleplayer, just type "sv_cheats 1" if you're on a server you own, type in the rcon password and then type "rcon sv_cheats 1" then after either of them, type "god" in console and hit enter.

when evever im in a helcopter and crash it kills me with godmode on

What are you dieing from?
Because certain ways of death (such as trigger_hurt) can still kill you with godmode on.
